COVID-19: What we knew over 3 months ago.

As the US is reporting its highest daily COVID-19 case count ever, here's a patient journey we developed for the local government here in the Bay Area back in the beginning of March. It was clear that containing community transmission was going to require a well-coordinated strategy - a strategy deploying different types of scalpels rather than sledgehammers. There's only so much epidemiological modeling can tell us. Patient journey mapping and natural history studies can serve as powerful tools in identifying needs & barriers across a complex environment, helping to develop targeted strategies.
